Developed by a team led by Shlomo Touboul, the Gatekeeper Pico Pro is USB key-size security mini-computer, Linux-based 520 MHz with 13 built-in security applications off-loads security software, extends corporate-level security to travelling laptops, and speeds computer performance. Designed to operate independently of the user, it boots up automatically with the laptop or PC and begins protecting the host computer immediately. A specially created low-level driver hijacks all network connections, routing Internet traffic through the device before it reaches the host computer, ensuring any attacks hit it and not the host computer. Full list of security functions:
• Integrated stateful inspection firewall
• Snort Intrusion Detection System
• Snort Intrusion Prevention System
• Sourcefire VRT certified Snort rules
• Kaspersky anti-virus
• Kaspersky anti-spyware
• MailShell anti-spam
• MailShell anti-phishing
• Web (HTTP/FTP) proxy
• Mail (SMTP/POP3) proxy
• SurfControl Web content filtering
• Adaptive Security Policy
• Multi-Layer Security Agent
• VPN client
• Layer-8 Security Engine
Unlike Router anti-virus, it uses a powerful true-type detection engine, the proxies can deal with any content type, including decompiled elements such as compressed class and file attachments.
These elements are analyzed by seven security agents. “Yet again we are being recognized as having a highly innovative product which can meet the needs of travelling workers and consumers.
We are delighted to be finalists and the Yoggie team is proud of the progress we are making to ensure that security is becoming easier to manage and implement across the board,” commented Shlomo Touboul, Founder and CEO, Yoggie Security Systems.” - Ends -
